
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), under the Ministry of Digital Economy, yesterday (04) took steps to block access to 24 websites in Sri Lanka that were illegally operating online gambling and betting services without obtaining licenses in Sri Lanka, with immediate effect.
The Gaming Regulatory Authority, operating under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, stated that this regulatory action has been taken pursuant to a notification issued in terms of the provisions and powers of the Gaming Regulatory Authority Act, No. 17 of 2025.
It is an offence and an illegal act to operate and promote online gambling services in Sri Lanka without obtaining the required valid licenses under Sections 15, 16 and 18 of the Gaming Regulatory Authority Act, as per Section 44 of the Act.
Accordingly, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has issued necessary instructions to all telecommunications service providers to prevent access to the relevant illegal websites from within Sri Lanka.
The illegal online gambling websites that have been banned with immediate effect are:

5. unibet.com
6. betfair.com
7. dafabet.com
8. bet365.com
9. 1win.com
10. spinbetter.com
11. 10cric.com
12. bc.game
13. megapari.com
14. pin-up.bet
15. stake.com
16. mostbet.com
17. parimatch.com
18. betwinner.com
19. linebet.com
20. 4rabet.com
21. rajabets.co
22. dbbet.com
23. coldbet.com
24. WinWin
The Ministry of Digital Economy and the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka urge the public to refrain from engaging in and investing money in such unauthorized online gambling platforms that operate contrary to the legal framework of Sri Lanka.
