The Attorney General has informed the Supreme Court today that the Cabinet has approved the recruitment of women for all positions in the Sri Lanka Railways.
The State Counsel appearing for the Attorney General has made this announcement when a Fundamental Rights Petition filed by two women challenging a gazette notification issued blocking women from applying for the positions of Station Master of the Sri Lanka Railways was called.
