Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala announced that this substantial reward is intended for officers who conducted investigations and enforcement actions against drug traffickers, underworld criminals, and those engaged in arms and explosives smuggling.
These operations led to significant arrests and seizures, particularly in the Southern Province.
